These Software License Terms govern the use of software products, license keys, license certificates, updates, documentation, and related materials provided by SecioForce (“SecioForce”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

By installing, accessing, activating, or using SecioForce software, you agree to these Software License Terms. If you are using the software on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

1. Scope

These terms apply to SecioForce software products, including but not limited to firewall management software, on-premise management platforms, license-based tools, documentation, updates, and related components.

Additional terms may apply under a quotation, order form, license certificate, statement of work, service agreement, support agreement, or signed contract. If there is a conflict, the signed agreement or specific order document shall prevail.

2. License Grant

Subject to payment of applicable fees and compliance with these terms, SecioForce grants the customer a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use the software during the applicable subscription term.

The license is granted only for the package, quantity, device count, user count, site, environment, and subscription period specified in the applicable order, invoice, or license certificate.

3. License Model

Unless otherwise stated in the applicable order or license certificate, SecioForce software is provided on a yearly subscription basis.

Licensing may be based on one or more of the following:

  • Number of managed firewall devices.
  • Software package or edition.
  • Subscription term.
  • Deployment environment.
  • Customer organization or site.
  • Other usage limits specified in the order or license certificate.

Each firewall device, instance, or managed asset may require a valid license unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4. Permitted Use

The customer may use the software only for its internal business operations and only within the licensed scope.

The customer may allow its employees, contractors, or authorized service providers to use the software solely for the customer’s internal purposes, provided that the customer remains responsible for their compliance with these terms.

5. Restrictions

The customer must not:

  • Copy, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the software.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to discover the source code, except where prohibited by applicable law.
  • Rent, lease, sell, resell, sublicense, distribute, or commercially host the software for third parties.
  • Use the software to provide managed services to third parties unless expressly authorized in writing.
  • Remove or alter proprietary notices, labels, license information, or security mechanisms.
  • Circumvent license controls, activation mechanisms, usage limits, or technical restrictions.
  • Use the software beyond the licensed quantity, package, subscription term, or permitted scope.
  • Use the software for unlawful, harmful, or unauthorized purposes.

6. Ownership

SecioForce and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the software, documentation, updates, trademarks, product names, and related intellectual property.

The customer receives only the limited right to use the software under these terms. No ownership rights are transferred.

7. License Certificate

SecioForce may issue a license certificate or license confirmation identifying the customer, product, package, quantity, subscription period, and licensed scope.

The license certificate is evidence of the customer’s licensed entitlement but does not transfer ownership of the software.

The customer is responsible for reviewing the license certificate and notifying SecioForce promptly of any error.

8. Subscription Term and Renewal

The software license is valid only during the subscription term specified in the order, invoice, or license certificate.

After the subscription term expires, the customer must renew the subscription to continue using the software, receiving updates, support, or license activation.

If the subscription is not renewed, SecioForce may disable license activation, updates, support access, or certain software functions.

9. Updates and Maintenance

SecioForce may provide software updates, patches, bug fixes, release notes, or documentation updates during the active subscription term.

Updates may include improvements, security fixes, compatibility changes, or feature modifications.

Unless otherwise agreed, SecioForce is not obligated to provide custom development, feature customization, professional services, or on-site support under the software license alone.

10. Support

Support services, if included, will be provided according to the applicable support terms, service agreement, quotation, or package description.

Support may be limited to active subscriptions, supported versions, licensed deployments, and environments that meet SecioForce’s technical requirements.

SecioForce may refuse support for unsupported versions, unauthorized modifications, expired licenses, or environments outside the agreed scope.

11. Customer Data

For on-premise deployments, customer operational data is generally stored within the customer’s own environment unless otherwise agreed.

If SecioForce receives logs, diagnostic files, support information, configuration exports, or other customer-provided data for troubleshooting or support, SecioForce will handle such data in accordance with its Privacy & Cookies Policy and applicable confidentiality obligations.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that it has the right to provide such data to SecioForce.

12. Confidentiality

The software, license files, technical documentation, architecture details, security information, and non-public product materials may be confidential.

The customer must not disclose confidential SecioForce materials to third parties except as permitted in writing or required by law.

13. Audit and Compliance

SecioForce may request reasonable information to verify license compliance, including device count, deployment scope, package usage, or subscription status.

If usage exceeds the licensed scope, the customer agrees to purchase the required additional licenses or pay applicable fees.

14. Third-Party Components

The software may include third-party components, open-source software, libraries, or integrations. Such components may be subject to separate license terms.

SecioForce will provide notices where required by applicable third-party licenses.

15. Warranty Disclaimer

Except as expressly stated in a signed agreement, the software is provided “as is” and “as available.”

SecioForce does not warrant that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, compatible with every environment, or capable of preventing all security incidents.

Cybersecurity software reduces risk but does not guarantee complete protection against all threats.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SecioForce shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or business interruption damages, including loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or security incidents caused by third parties.

SecioForce’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the relevant software license during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, unless a signed agreement states otherwise.

17. Termination

SecioForce may suspend or terminate the license if the customer:

  • Fails to pay applicable fees.
  • Uses the software beyond the licensed scope.
  • Breaches these terms.
  • Attempts to bypass license controls.
  • Uses the software unlawfully or in a way that creates security or legal risk.

Upon termination or expiration, the customer must stop using the software and delete or return licensed materials if requested, except where retention is required by law.

18. Export and Legal Compliance

The customer must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including cybersecurity, data protection, export control, sanctions, and technology-use restrictions.

The customer must not use the software in prohibited countries, for prohibited entities, or for prohibited purposes.

19. Changes to These Terms

SecioForce may update these Software License Terms from time to time. Updated terms will apply to new orders, renewals, or continued use after notice, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
